Privacy Policy
Stumptown Stairs is a small, licensed stair shop in Portland, Oregon (CCB #218207). This site exists to show you what we build and to let you ask for a quote. This page explains what information the site collects when you use it, where that information goes, and how to have it removed. It covers stumptownstairs.com and the forms on it, not anything you share with us later by phone, email, or in person.

What We Collect
We collect only what you give us, plus the basic technical data any website receives.
Quote and contact forms
your name, email address, phone number, project location, the service you're asking about, budget range, timeline, and anything you type into a message field.
Photos you upload
pictures of your stairs attached to a quote request. They're used to scope the project and for nothing else.
Technical data
your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and how you arrived at the site (a search engine, a referring link). This comes in through hosting logs and analytics, described below.
We do not ask for payment information on this site. Deposits and invoices are handled directly with Dave after a site visit.
Where It Goes
Form submissions and technical data pass through a short list of services that run the site. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job.
HubSpot
our customer relationship system. Quote and contact submissions are stored there so we can follow up and keep track of your project.
Resend
the email service that delivers a copy of each submission to Stumptown Stairs and sends you a confirmation that we received it.
Google Analytics 4, via Google Tag Manager
page-view and traffic analytics, used to understand which pages people read and how they find the site.
Cloudflare Turnstile
spam protection on the forms. It checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a bot, and may set a cookie to do so.
Vercel
the hosting platform that serves the site. Like any host, it keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with anyone outside this list unless the law requires it.
Cookies and Analytics
The site uses cookies and similar identifiers for two purposes: analytics (Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager) and spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile). Analytics cookies tell us how the site is used in aggregate; they are not used to build a profile of you or to show you ads elsewhere. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, though the forms may ask you to complete a Turnstile check.
How Long We Keep It
Quote and contact records stay in our customer system for as long as we might reasonably follow up on the project or need the history for a warranty question, generally a few years. Uploaded photos are kept with the quote they belong to. Analytics data is retained on Google's default schedule, and hosting logs roll off automatically on the platform's own timeline.
Your Choices and How to Request Deletion
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Email info@stumptownstairs.com or call (503) 830-1903 and tell us what you'd like done. We'll confirm it's you, handle the request, and remove the record from our customer system and any confirmation emails we still hold. Some data may need to be kept where a contract, warranty, or legal obligation requires it; we'll tell you if that applies.
Children
This site is meant for homeowners, property managers, and building professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted a form, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If the way the site handles information changes (a new service, a new form), we'll update this page and its effective date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
